How Can severe Ear Pain Be Treated?

For several days I have had a nagging ear ache, whistling sound in one ear only. Louder noise like paper crunching is very irritating. Today a dr found no outer ear infection, no ear drum bulging, but the problem still exists. it feels like some fluid on inner ear. What do I do next?

Hello,

The symptoms are suggestive of steroid otitis media.

Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

As of now, you can take antihistamines like Cetirizine for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
